trip38 is a travel app developed by a team of experienced professionals in the travel industry. It is a complete travel manger that takes care of a traveller’s every need post booking. It delivers relevant real time information through various stages of the trip, like Itinerary Management - flight tickets & stay confirmation all in one place; Status Alerts & Reminders –web check-in alerts, baggage allowance limits, flight status (on time/delayed), flight arrival / departure, terminal , gate & baggage claim information and locates key airport services & amenities like ATMs, Wi-Fi zones, lounges, duty free shops. The app was extremely utilitarian and was completely free. However, the app was not able to gain an inroad on app install partly due to its outdated look. Trip38 approached Owlworx to revamp the app’s identity and give it strength to take on global competition.
Uplifting new way to travel.
Owlworx created a new symbol for the brand – a hot air balloon. The hot air balloon was symbolic of the uplifting user experience the app delivered and the ease of use. The hot air balloon symbol was an instant standout in the travel app market dominated by airplane symbols. The 3 colours were symbolic of the 3 ways in which the app helped travellers. The new app logo and colours were an instant hit. The app recorded higher app usage and more downloads after the identity change.
